Amsterdam in the Rocky Mountains!
Breckenridge, Colorado is now being compared to the Dutch capital of Amsterdam. This Colorado ski town is the second city in Colorado and in the United States to legalize marijuana; Denver was the first.
In November of 2009 voters passed Measure 2F by a 73% margin. This measure allows for the possession of up to an ounce of weed and the possession of any paraphernalia for anyone over the age of 21.
Selling pot is still a felony in the city, and is still forbidden on the ski slopes.
But since you can just buy it at a dispensary now, dealing is no longer necessary.
